1934 Rolls Royce 20/25 Park Ward Special saloon, turn key car, ready to use and enjoy

An outstanding motor car which we are pleased to offer for sale on behalf of the long term octogenarian owner and RREC member.

The car has been maintained with no regard to expense, we have invoices totalling 110,000 since 1997 ! The history folder is several inches thick and contains far too much to detail in this advertisement, interested parties are welcome to sit down in our office with a cup of tea and peruse the history at leisure. In recent years the car has been looked after by marque specialists Bowling Ryan and is a "turn key" example, the owner uses the car very frequently and has made several trips to Spain in the car. Whilst in our hands the car has started first touch of the button every time and runs beautifully, this is a car you can jump in and enjoy, thoroughly sorted and eminently usable.

During his 12 year tenure the current owner has made some very useful enhancements including fitting an overdrive ( 3rd and 4th ) which dramatically improves the cruising ability of the car, in fact the gentleman tells us that he has driven this car to Valencia in one day ! Additionally the headlamps have been converted to LED which are a vast improvement over the original specification. There is also a battery charger connected and a satellite navigation system which stays with the car.

Sold new by Jack Barclay to Sir William Firth, a steel magnate whose statue is in Ebbu Vale, ownership later passing to the BBC and eventually to Terry Cohn, a very well known collector who had the car restored by Steve Penny at enormous expense.

Finished in black with blue leather upholstery and wooden picnic tables the interior presents very nicely with art deco finish to the woodwork. Period features include miniature books including two Shakespeare plays, silver flasks and beauty accoutrements for the lady ! The car has a wonderfully large sunshine roof extending over the front compartment. The car further benefits from fitted luggage, 3 suitcases which exactly fit the boot space, a charming period feature. The boot lid folds to become a picnic table, luggage carrier or seat, leaving an inner cover to seal the boot.

All in all a superb example which will provide a vast amount of enjoyment to the new custodian.
