This is a stunning example
which has just been fully restored by Ninemeister Porsche specialists in
Cheshire and now easily ranks among the best available.
Owned by a most meticulous
collector who is a regular customer of ours, the car has wanted for
nothing and has been restored regardless of cost to an extremely high
standard by well respected marque specialist Ninemeister. There is a
detailed inventory of work carried out together with a photographic record
of the work which entailed the removal of the engine and gearbox, the
total cost approaching £20,000 on top of the initial purchase price of the
car. Highlights of the work included a new clutch, strip and re-build of
the varioram system, complete re-trim of the interior and the fitting of
Dansk sports exhaust with Gembella tail pipes, together with a vast array of other work carried out
and finally the fitting of a new Cobra alarm system. The end result is a
"turn key" example with nothing more to do, ready to be used and enjoyed
by the next enthusiast.
The car has covered 84,000
miles with a substantial service history folder, the service book
recording prior maintenance at 15746, 17170, 27981, 38411, 48339, 57592,
62223, 72115, 77676, 82898, 84097 and 84600 miles, servicing having
been carried out by Porsche up to 62,000 and specialists thereafter. In addition to the service book
we have a large collection of invoices detailing further work carried out,
for example a new convertible roof was fitted in 2006 at a cost of
£1819.97. The current owner has just purchased a brand new tonneau cover
which is still in the box, unused. The sale will further include a none
age related personal number plate.
The car was stored in a
heated garage by another collector for a
period of 8 years from 2008 until 2016 at which point the car was sent for
a major overhaul at Daniel James Performance Cars in Essex at cost of
£1356.11, mileage 82898. The owner was satisfied that he owned a "superb
example of a 993" but it was not up to the standards of our client who
bought the car from this gentleman and then initiated the full restoration
detailed above. In the words of Ninemeister "it is rare to find a 993 in
this condition" and they believe it would be "very difficult to replace",
the director of Ninemeister giving a written valuation of £68,000 which is
with the car.
Finished in stunning Arena
red with black hood and specified with the optional hard back leather
sports seats, the car further benefits from 18 inch "Technology" alloy
wheels. In the metal the car is absolutely stunning both inside and out -
in fact we have had more emails commenting on this car than we
have had for quite some time. Behind the wheel the car performs exactly
as it should, as of course you would expect given the vast recent
expenditure and the knowledge and reputation of Ninemeister. The car is
exciting, involving and visceral, exactly as a 911 ought to be.
Specification to include
a modern Blaupunkt Stockholm DAB radio and CD player which offers
Bluetooth hands free telephony and music streaming, electric seats, electric mirrors, electric windows,
remote central locking with a new Cobra alarm and immobiliser, 18 inch
alloy wheels which are unmarked and fitted with fresh Michelin pilot
sports tyres round.
Supplied with
original keys, original book pack containing owners manuals, stamped service book,
brand new unused tonneau cover etc.
The
car will be supplied with a new MOT with no advisory notices.
The 993 is the last of the air
cooled 911's and this is the much less common Carrera 4 version, as such
this car should prove a solid investment whilst providing a vast amount of
enjoyment to the owner.
Offered for sale by agency on behalf
of the owner who is a regular client.
