A
superb example which has covered just 34,000 miles and is practically
unmarked throughout and benefits from significant recent expenditure by
the fastidious owner.
The
car has been very well maintained despite covering little mileage, the
service records detailing prior maintenance at 14470, 20566, 24785,
26498, 31979 and 33308 miles. In addition to the stamped service book
we have an A4 binder containing a collection of invoices detailing work
carried out, much of it at Mercedes Benz the remainder at specialists,
together with a large collection of previous MOT's and MOT history from
VOSA.
Purchased
by the previous owner in 2006, the car has been a weekend toy, always
garaged and kept in immaculate condition at all times. The current
owner acquired it last year and submitted the
car to Mercedes Benz specialist to have the car fully serviced and
reconditioned
prior to use, this work to include "B Service", spark plugs, brake
fluid change, air conditioning service, gearbox service and a new
battery, in addition to the usual oil, filters etc. The owner further
fitted 4 new Uniroyal tyres and 4 had a 4 wheel alignment check, the
original tyres were still on the car and were replaced due to age
rather than mileage. In total, around £2,500 has recently been spent on
servicing and tyres to make this car fault free and ready to enjoy.
The
car drives without fault and performs very well indeed, unlike most of
these models the interior is free from squeaks and rattles as you drive
along and the folding metal hardtop operates flawlessly. Having been
garaged all it's life this car is free from the corossion issues which
can affect these models, this must
surely be one of the best R170 models remaining.
Finished
in brilliant cubanite silver and specified with charcoal leather
upholstery the specification of the period includes air conditioning,
cruise control, electric seats, heated seats, electric folding metal roof, cruise
control, electric windows, electric mirrors, headlamp washers, original
Mercedes stereo with glovebox mounted CD changer plus an upgraded
Mercedes stereo is supplied, 17 inch alloy wheels with new Uniroyal
tyres all round. A wind deflector is provided to keep the chill off the
back of your neck whilst enjoying driving with the roof down.
Supplied with original owners manuals, stamped service book, fabric wind deflector

There cannot be many R170s in this condition, one for the Mercedes
collector or enthusiast.
